1. Inflammation is the Root of the Problem
There is A LOT of conflicting information out there about health and diet. My philosophy is based on the latest research that shows inflammation is at the root of the majority of chronic disease and chronic pain. Calming the inflammation calms the symptoms and prevents future disease development.
2. “Healthy Food” is Not One Size Fits All
No one diet is right for everyone. That’s why there are so many dietary approaches out there – because each has worked for someone! Finding the way of eating that’s right for your individual body is hard to figure out. I help each client identify the foods that nourish their individual body without causing chronic inflammation. We work together to swap health-depleting food and lifestyle choices with those that support health and healing. Finding new favorite foods is one key to leaving inflammatory foods behind for good – and never wanting to look back.
3. The Body Has an Innate Capacity to Heal
When given half a chance, the body naturally attempts to heal. Compromising that innate ability by purposefully or inadvertently feeding it inflammatory foods day after day sets the body up for disease. My role is to help identify your particular inflammatory triggers and work together to remove and replace them with health-supporting nourishment.
4. What You Eat Makes All the Difference
The foods we choose either work for our individual body composition and gut biome, or against it. Choosing to feed our bodies foods that fuel it vs. foods that inflame it is key in long-term health, vitality, and happiness.
5. Movement Matters
Bodies are made to move. I know we all have excuses. Let’s go ahead and get those out of the way and get a plan in place. It doesn’t have to be difficult to get moving.
If you have aches, pains, or low energy (all of which I once had), there are options for you. If you are a powerhouse, but stuck in the daily grind, there are options for you. Stop making excuses – start moving! Once you find your groove, you’ll never want to stop.
6. Stress Is a Bitch
Stress happens – you can’t stop it. But you CAN change your perception of it. Removing stressors isn’t always possible. I know some things really are important, but stressing about them actually INCREASES your chance of failure. Learn how to lighten your perception of the stressors in your life and your body will reward you with more energy, more clarity, and more happiness.
7. You’ve Got One Life
You’re here on this planet for a limited time. Besides taking care of your body, doing things that lift your soul enriches your life. Why shouldn’t you make the most of the one life you’ve got?
